Due to the recent and expected dry conditions resulting in elevated fire risks, the Fire Chief has implemented a Burn Ban, effective immediately.

Until further notice, all outdoor burning activities are prohibited.

The Fire Chief will continue to monitor weather conditions and we will advise when it is safe to burn.

Request a Landfill Pass

Property owners and tenants in the Township of South Stormont are eligble to receive a free landfill pass, good for two (2) free loads to the Trillium Landfill Site. Only one free landfill pass will be issued per household, and all additional visits to the landfill will be subject to tipping fees.
