Due to the recent and expected dry conditions resulting in elevated fire risks, the Fire Chief has implemented a Burn Ban, effective immediately.

Until further notice, all outdoor burning activities are prohibited.

The Fire Chief will continue to monitor weather conditions and we will advise when it is safe to burn.

Thank you for your interest in the Adopt-a-Road program. The Township of South Stormont requires volunteers to complete a risk, waiver and indemnity agreements. Please complete this form, and a staff member will reach out to you if your request was approved.

The Corporation of The Township of South Stormont’s Adopt-a-Road program has been established as a public service program for individuals/groups to enhance the local litter collection activities of the Township, by picking litter along its road rights-of-way. It is a way for environmentally conscious people to contribute to a cleaner and more beautiful Township Road System.
